Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book desc: “For his anger endureth but for a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning” (Ps. 30:5, KJV). So is Broken for a Blessing: It is from a weeping night to a joyful morning—from brokenness to restoration. At some point, one will face some kind of turmoil, storm, or darkness. However, each of these can also be seen as a developing process. Like bread when it is broken: whenever a bread is broken: it meant, someone is getting ready to eat. This is the same from hurting to healing. God breaks you to heal you or turn you into a better person. This is what Broken for a Blessing is about. In this book, the author wrote ten chapters as he considers the number 10 to be significant. He talks about events that were written about in the Bible and uses the number as a metaphor of one’s destiny. He also uses the number 10 as a metaphor in his own life journey. When he was ten years old, he played a game called the ten steps to Zion. In the game, each of the competitors would hold a Bible. The judge would say “Sword in hand” and then give the competitors a Bible verse, and whoever found it first would take a step. The game would end when a player reached the tenth bench. The author would always be the one who would reach the tenth bench first. In addition, the author started his life in the United States with ten dollars; he actually started with a hundred dollars, but he used ninety dollars of that amount just to pay his rent. He was married for ten years before he suffered a broken marriage. It was during his time of brokenness and isolation when God revealed the book in his spirit, Broken for a Blessing. This book will inspire you and will let you know that there’s hope and a purpose for you. You should not get bitter when you are broken; rather, you should understand that you are going through to make yourself better. Whatever comes to break you should be seen as something that is coming to make you. There’s a process in the making and a process in becoming. This is not the time for you to break down; it’s the time for you to break through.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book desc: Andreas Bodenstein von Karlstadt played a key role in the development of the evangelical understanding of the Lord's Supper. In 1521 he wrote several pamphlets urging a reform of the Mass. In 1524 he broke with Martin Luther and published a second group of pamphlets rejecting the traditional belief in Christ's corporeal presence in the Eucharist. Despite the importance of Karlstadt's tracts, they are little known today, and his understanding of the Lord's Supper is often reduced to a caricature. For the first time, Amy Nelson Burnett translates his thirteen pamphlets into English, illuminating Karlstadt's importance for the Reformation debate over the Eucharist and his contribution to what would become Reformed sacramental theology.

It begins on Ash Wednesday with an invitation to engage with Christ, to have daily conversation with him, and to walk with him through the struggles and challenges of daily living. Each day offers a poetic, insightful meditation on Scripture verses that voice the human spirit's longing for the Holy Spirit. As the journey unfolds, the reader will experience the searing heat of the desert sun and the confusing shadows of the wilderness. The invitation to follow Christ, seek Christ, and be found by Christ leads the reader through the perils of the season with the promise of Easter morning. Those familiar with biblical texts will be drawn in by the vivid images and relevant messages of the poems. Similarly, those for whom biblical texts are less well-known, will find intriguing and accessible images that might even prompt a desire to learn more. Lay people and clergy across denominations will find comfort and challenge in the familiar being made new should they accept the invitation to follow Christ into the desert and the wilderness contained within us all, and persevere until the journey ends in resurrection.
